Valley drugs operation
POLICE say a cannabis cultivation site has been uncovered in the remote Westerkirk Valley, near Langholm.
They state that plants with a street value of £114,000 had been found following an operation including local officers and the Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary drugs squad.
Detective Sergeant Dean Little said the operation on Friday January 27 was instigated as a result of information received from the public.
He added that if anyone had further information regarding the misuse or supply of controlled drugs they should contact police on 0845 600 5701 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A force spokesman added: "As a result of the operation, a 41-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal at Dumfries for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act."
